Put A Harness On

Bustiers are super sexy but can be hard to wear sometimes… maybe all the time. I haven’t worn a real bustier since my early 20s. I love the look, but hate the cinching.

I’ve always loved the look of harnesses – shoulder harnesses, body chains, etc. While searching through Etsy, I came across a leather harness bustier and pretty much fell in love.

For this outfit, I am wearing the Warrior Princess Bustier by Leather Coven. The shop offers high-quality leather accessories for all bodies. I love it! Super affordable for a custom piece. You provide your measurements and also have the option to have your custom order rush delivered. What’s really awesome is that although I provided my measurements and it fit me perfectly, the straps are adjustable. The owner, Mateo, was also very responsive and timely when I had a question.

Although these leather accessories are meant to be worn in the bedroom, I wanted it to wear out and with clothes. But not just with a plain tee and jeans, I wanted to pair it with an outfit I would wear to work! Black and tan is my all-time favorite color combination so I decided on an all black outfit to make the tan pop.

I’m wearing black wide-leg trousers, Seychelles t-strap heels, and a sheer black secretary blouse. My accessories include a vintage clutch from Over Attired (a really awesome new vintage shop in downtown Oakland, that offers in-house alterations), earrings by THEREnBACK, oxidized silver ring by The Contradiction, two-tone stacked ring by Lia Sophia, and silver triangle and hammered rings by Nina Designs. On my nails, I’m wearing Big 5 Free, Zoya polish in Willa (black) and Imogen (black sparkle).
